Transportation Committee to Conduct Hearing on Passenger Rail Competition Proposal

Washington, DC – Transportation Committee Chairman John L. Mica (R-FL) has agreed to conduct a Committee legislative hearing to review a proposal to develop Northeast Corridor high-speed rail and encourage competition for intercity passenger rail service in the United States.

Chairman Mica scheduled Wednesday’s hearing to comply with a request from the Committee’s Ranking Member Nick J. Rahall (D-WV) and the Railroads Subcommittee Ranking Member Corrine Brown (D-FL).
